Description:  

SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - sales of IT solutions in to the Public Sector.

£30-35k basic, £55-60k OTE (2nd year) + Car or Car Allowance.

IT industry field sales experience essential. Consultative sales environment.

Our client offers end to end IT solutions to the public sector, encompassing installation, implementation, support and maintenance. This well established company has established a strong reputation for delivering high quality integrated solutions and services and offers a flexible approach to adapt to clients exact requirements. Now seeking to expand their sales and account management teams.

Role:

A field based sales role where you will be responsible for identifying potential new user throughout the UK whilst maximising and developing relationships with a given client base. Proactively sourcing new business opportunities via internet, media, networking and through your acquired knowledge of the market. Identifying decision makers within these companies and contacting via mail shots and cold calls. Understanding clients specific needs and via a consultative sales approach, presenting on conceptual benefits. Working closely with the in-house technical team to gain knowledge of product updates and providing quotations. Maintaining existing relationships where you will attend regular strategic meetings with existing clients to advise on new products whilst seeking to increase revenue. Also attending industry exhibitions.

Requirements:

IT hardware, IT software or IT solutions field sales / client facing sales and business development backgrounds are ideal, although full product and service training will be provided and as such any IT related field sales selling in to any professional sector will be considered as long as you are experienced at new business development and have proven territory management skills. You will be a consultative and solution led sales professional who has a solid understanding of the sales cycle. Experience of selling in to public sector is highly advantageous.
