Description:  
This position will matrix report directly to the Director Of Portfolio Risk Management and Corporate Bureau Executive for BAC. The role has overall responsibility for managing Credit Bureau Operations and Relationships for BAC Card Services in Europe.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for Relationship Management with bureau vendors across Europe Card Services.
• Responsible for securing value added bureau products and services in order to increase competitive advantage of ECS.
• Develop, manage and maintain an effective relationship framework, consistent across European portfolios.
• Ensure, alongside Supply Chain Management, that all contracts negotiated with bureaus deliver shareholder value.
• Ensure bureau operation control process is effective and efficiently executed.
• Drive and facilitate all Executive Relationship Meetings with the credit bureaux.
• Monitor and ensure delivery of Service Level Agreements with Bureaux.
• Ensure appropriate MIS and data quality analysis is in place to report relevant information on timely, complete and accurate basis.
• Own and complete Bureau Performance Scorecards and provide Vendors with appropriate feedback.
• Ensure compliance with Data Protection legislation and industry codes of practice such as banking code and Principles of Reciprocity
• Represent ECS in UK industry credit risk and data forums such as CADMAP (BBA) and DQWG.
• Leverage industry market intelligence to advise credit risk and marketing strategy development.
• Establish and implement principles and policies that are aligned to the needs of the corporation and meet the best practice standards demanded for an effective and efficient bureau management function.
• Manages a team of managers and analysts within the allocated budget, including scheduling of work assignments, technical education and guidance, performance assessment, personnel administration, career development and recommendations for staffing, hiring, promotion and disciplinary action.
• Develop a cohesive communication strategy with all LOB partners in relation bureau products and budget requirements.
• Liaise with colleagues in the US to share best practice.

QUALIFICATIONS
The Head of Credit Bureau Management should demonstrate a proactive approach and problem solving mindset to provide effective counsel to the senior management of Europe Card Services. Technically strong, this person will add value through providing advanced understanding of bureau management in the cards space in a clear, consultative and influential manner. If successful, this person will be seen as an authority in their field of expertise as well as an approachable and “go to” resource.
Required:
• Vendor Management professional
• Exposure to a senior vendor management function in a major financial institution.
• Detailed knowledge of the retail credit product lifecycle.
• Understanding of issues and developments in the retail financial services industry.
• Proven strong leadership skills.
• Proven ability to liaise with People on a cross-divisional basis using excellent verbal and written communication skills to achieve desired results.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, develop and inspire associates to succeed within their roles.
• Strong analytical skills complemented with an ability to implement strategic changes to deliver efficiencies and value within the business.
• Demonstrated excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of DPA, POR and 3rd Party Data Requirements
Preferred:
• Exposure of managing bureau relationships.
• Credit Risk knowledge would be advantageous.
• Understanding of the UK retail banking/ cards industry.
• Involvement in project management and system development
