Working in a busy specialist team and at the Vision First Resource Centre, you will be innovative and enthusiastic, with a high level of commitment to the delivery of first-rate services to visually impaired people.
You will have experience of working with visually impaired people either in a Social Care, Health or voluntary service and be willing to undertake specialist training.
You will have to opportunity to work with visually impaired people at Vision First resource Centre and in their homes. You will be supporting the Low Vision Worker in assessing for simple equipment and carrying out reviews. You would also assist in the day to day running of the Centre. You will be working alongside The Low Vision Worker, Rehabilitation Workers, Rehab Assistants and the Hospital Support Worker in providing services for visually impaired people and carers.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to team developments and we offer regular supervision and will support your professional development.
