GMPTE is responsible for planning major strategic investments in public transport in Greater Manchester. It specifies the level and quality of services on the local train and tram networks and on some of the bus network. It also provides cheaper fares for elderly people, children and people with disabilities as well as bus stations, shelters and stops and travel information. A key role of GMPTE is to promote public transport.
As a Bus Station Attendant working as part of a team, you will be expected to ensure that the bus station and other premises as necessary are cleaned and maintained to the required standards.
Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a customer focused environment and in heavy duty cleaning in a public environment, including the use of plant and machinery.
You will have the ability to provide information and assistance to the public, as and when required, in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner and will promote the image of the organisation.
