This post provides support and advice to Young People aged 16 18 years under statutory supervision with the YOS to enable them to access and maintain placements in Education, Training or Employment. Skilled in motivating and engaging challenging Young People you will work closely with YOS case managers, connexions and other education staff to reduce the barriers to young people?s participation in Education, Training and Employment. You will also develop close links with local training providers and employers to maximise the opportunities available for young offenders in Trafford, and to advocate on young offenders behalf when necessary.
At least 12 months experience working directly with Young People, an ability to work pro actively within a multi agency team and good oral and written communication skills are required.
The hours of work are flexible and will involve some evening and weekends
