Web Application Developer : Job Details

My Manchester client is a leading new media marketing agency and due to continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Web Application Developer who can work within a dynamic environment and can demonstrate their ability to work under pressure. Candidates should have good communication skills both verbal and written, a good team-work attitude and the ability to interact and integrate with the development team, designers and project managers. Ideally, candidates will have previously worked in a similar agency environment. Formal IT qualifications or university degree are preferable but not essential. Candidates must have some experience of developing online systems with ASP and ASP.NET, although their core development language now will be .NET, preferably with C#. Therefore a thorough understanding of XHTML and CSS are essential. Additionally, experience of building and working with eCommerce and Content Management systems will be advantageous. The candidate should be fully conversant with: Microsoft .NET (C#) 1.1, SQL Server 2000, XHTML 1.0 /CSS JavaScript (DOM Scripting and AJAX development). Relevant experience in other web technologies will be take into consideration with a strong passion for the industry.
