Description:
The purpose of the role will be to ensure successful project delivery and maximisation of margins through the delivery of the contract in a safe manner on time, within budget and to the agreed level of quality.
The key tasks of this role include: Involvement/input in projects at all stages from pre-qualifying and tendering through to completion.
Fulfilling the Project/Contract Manager's responsibilities as laid down in Section 2 of the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
Ensuring that the site team are fully apprised of the contract parameters and have the capability and resources necessary to achieve contract objectives.
The development of positive relationships with all parties associated with the contract.
Ensuring that the contract is executed in accordance with the requirements of;
- All applicable legislation
- The Terms and Conditions of the contract
- The Contract Health and Safety Plan
- The Contract Quality/Environmental Plan
- The Policies and Procedures contained within the Company Business Management System?
-Delivery of the contract within programme and budget.
The promotion of a continuous improvement culture and the use of best practice.?
The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.
Ensuring that, in conjunction with the Project Delivery Team, changes to the contract are identified
Candidates for this role must have experience of successfully leading a project delivery team and meet the following criteria:
Must possess experience of successfully delivering civil engineering projects including structures and bridges.
Experience of multi-disciplinary projects including MEICA would also be an advantage.
Must have significant exposure to Design and Construct activities.
Experience of Rail would also be a distinct advantage but is not essential.
IT Literate, particularly Microsoft Office Applications.
Industry recognise training and development offered for the right candidate.
