A Legal Secretary is required to join an active and dynamic team in a fantastic opportunity to provide support to the Partner and solicitors and fee earners working in the Property Practice Group.
previous experience as a legal secretary Within RTA essential.
Excellent IT skills in Word and other Microsoft products such as Outlook. Typing skills to RSA III standard are essential.
Duties will include:
• To work in a team environment, providing support to the fee earners in the team at all levels.
• To prepare correspondence and documents using the firm’s IT and other systems including the digital dictation system, and on–line search facilities.
• To provide departmental administrative support in defined areas.
• To be familiar with and follow the firm’s file management procedures and other procedures as otherwise agreed from time to time. This will include for example using the firm’s Central Diary for key dates.
• To administer files which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with the detailed procedures set out in the Procedural Manual.
• To undertake photocopying, binding and scanning and also to instruct others to undertake such tasks ensuring a consistently high standard of work.
• To ensure that a meeting room is booked and refreshments arranged for client or internal meetings as requested by the fee earner.
• To attend clients both in person and on the telephone and to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm’s standards for client care.
• To ensure the confidentiality of all the firm’s and clients’ documentation and information.
